Making your goal specific will help to choose the right colour. For example:
you wish to do a ritual for love. If your goal is passionate and sexual love:
choose red; if your goal is soft love, like mother-child love, or friendship: take
pink; if you strive for unconditional love: take white. This scheme is based on traditional colour use, but it is not written in stone. Your intuition is still the
best source in picking colours.
Magickal use of colours
needs more of, or we give the opposite of the colour someone has too much
of. Why should the body need colour suppletion? Healthy people are in tune
with their ground-tune, which means that they vibrate on their own unique frequency. Their aura - the invisible energy bodies - will keep them in balance by attracting the right cosmic forces for their physical body. When people get stressed, shocked, frightened or ill-treated their aura becomes damaged.
These energetic power fields become thin, show dark spots or lesions, what
keeps the aura from proper working. The result is that you adapt a different frequency, and you will feel uncomfortable or get sick. Here the healing
qualities of light come in. Each colour has a particular wavelength; by administering a certain colour we strengthen the aura to repair itself and
return to its original ground-tune. The physical effect is healing of the body.
Yellow
Stimulates brain and nervous activity. Energises the muscles. Speeds up the
digestion and assimilation, and the stool. Activates and cheers up
depressed and melancholic people. Dark yellow soothes pains in the
nerves (shooting pains). Gives lust for life.
Orange
Stimulates the lungs, the respiration and the digestion. Increases the
activity of the thyroid. Relieves muscle cramps and spasms. Increases the
amount of mother milk. Shows new possibilities and other options in life.
Stimulates creative thinking and enthusiasm.
Red
Brings warmth, energy and stimulation, therefore good for energy, fatigue,
colds, chilly and passive people. Red energises heart and blood
circulation, it builds up the blood and heightens a low blood pressure.
Energises all organs and the senses hearing, smell, taste, vision and touch.
Increases sexual desire and activity. Stimulates ovulation and menstruation.
Never treat cancer with red, because this colour will stimulate cell growth!
Magenta
Strengthens contact with your life purpose. Stimulates adrenaline and heart
activity. Builds up the aura.
Pink
Heals grief and sadness. Restores youthfulness. Brings you in contact with
your feelings.
Green
Brings psychological and emotional harmony and balance; therefore it
works calming on the heart and healing on the kidneys (astrological
associated with relationships). It cures hormonal imbalances. Stimulates
growth hormone and rejuvenation. Cleans and purifies from germs,
bacteria and rotting material. Harmonises the digestion, stomach, liver,
gall. Increases immunity. Builds up muscles, bones and tissues. Stimulates
inner peace. Strengthens the nervous system.
Turquoise
Increases intuition and sensitivity. Works disinfecting and antiseptic. Tones
the general system. Builds the skin. Relaxes sensations of stress.
Blue
Cools down inflammations (don't forget rheumatic inflammations), fever,
high blood pressure, stops bleedings, relieves the bursting headaches,
calms strong emotions like anger, aggression or hysteria. Works disinfecting
and antiseptic. Brings tranquillity. Anti-itching. Anti-irritation (for instance
redness of the skin), anti-stress. Soothes suffering.
Violet/Purple
This colour of transformation heals melancholy, hysteria, delusions and
alcohol addiction, it brings spiritual insights and renewal. Slows down an
over-active heart. Stimulates the spleen and the white blood cells
(immunity). Brings sleep. Soothes mental and emotional stress. Decreases
sexual activity. Decreases sensitivity to pain. Detoxification.
Note: colour healing should be regarded as complementary healing; please
be wise and always consult a doctor!
Practical use of colour healing
Working with a biogenerator can be done with physically present patients, but distant healing is also very well possible by for instance treating through photograph.

In magick colours represent certain energy, goal, person (someone you're

- The magickal colour meanings highly resemble the psychological
meanings. - Magick uses the metal shades gold, silver and copper/bronze as colours too. Gold represents the Sun and matters of the Sun, silver the Moon and copper/bronze Venus.
- The elemental forces each have their own colour.

Magickal use of colours
- Select appropriate colours for the altar setting of a ritual. An altar cloth
in a certain colour, coloured paper as background, gemstones in
suitable colours, flowers in a specific colour, a vase and candlesticks in a certain colour/material, the colours of your clothes, etc…Use your
creativity and start focusing on your magickal desire while preparing
your ritual. - Burn coloured candles. (Also see Candle magick).
- Draw your sigils, talismans and symbols in specific colours.
- Write down your prayers, affirmations, evocations with colour pencils.
- Visualise coloured light. First visualise white light in and around you, purifying/protecting you and your sacred space. Next imagine yourself
being filled up with the desired colour (or colours, one by one), entering
you through your crown chakra. Then breathe or direct this coloured
energy into your visualised magickal goal. Repeat this until it feels
sufficient. Finish with again bringing white light in and around you. - Another way of using coloured light: start the ritual with visualising
white light first, followed by light in the colour you need; perform your
ritual, and when it's time to send the energy into your goal: send it into
a beam of coloured light. - When working for persons it can be very helpful to have their
photograph, or piece of paper with their full address, in a coloured
envelope or coloured bag or so. During the ritual you take the
photograph - or address - out of the envelope and hold it between
your hands, meanwhile visualising the coloured light entering the
person. After the ritual put the photograph back in the envelope and
leave it on your altar, allowing it to absorb more coloured energy. (Do
the ritual on 3 successive days and leave the envelope there for
another 7 days, or 21 days in serious cases.) - Colours have healing qualities
- Last but not least: you can influence the atmosphere in your
surroundings by conscious colour use.

Practical use of colour healing
- Coloured light can be obtained by using coloured bulbs in lamps, or
covering a lamp or window with a transparent coloured (plastic) sheet, or by coloured dials in a projector. What you do is sit or lie in the stream of
coloured light for about 30 minutes during several days. - You can hang up (silk) pieces of cloth or paper sheets in the desired
colour in the room. - You can fill coloured glasses or bottles with (spring)water, place it in the window for at least three hours and drink three glasses a day of this
water. - You can wear clothes in certain colours.
- You can eat food in certain colours. Need more energy: eat tomatoes
and strawberries; want mental clarity: bananas and corn, etc. - You can visualise coloured light in and around your body, breathe it in
and direct it to the body-parts that need it. - Wear jewellery with gemstones in the colours you need.
- Visit places in nature that match your need of colours. For calmness go
to water, for balance go to the trees, for energy buy red flowers, etc. - Of course a combination of the above works best
- Take a photograph, or piece of paper with full address and date of
birth of the person you wish to help healing. Expose this to coloured light
as described above, for 1,5 to 2 hours a day on successive days. - Or put this photograph is an envelope or piece of cloth in the right
colour and expose it to the sun for several hours a day. - A third way is visualising the person filled up and surrounded by
coloured light for as long as you can. Always end with visualising or
sending white light to the person.
