BRONCHITIS LEMON SYRUP
6 eggs
6 lemons
300ml rum
250g honey
2 tablespoons sugar
In a basin cover 6 whole eggs (in shells) with the lemon juice. Stand for 3 days, stirring every day - the shells will soften. Then beat well together, making sure the shells are finely crushed. Sieve through a fine strainer. Add the rum, honey and sugar, then mix it all together. Stand for 1 hour before bottling. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day until you feel better.
PINE FLU REMEDY
As soon as flu symptoms appear, mix 1 drop of eucalyptus essential oil, 1 drop of pine essential oil, 1 drop of clove essential oil and 2 dessertspoons of almond or vegetable oil. Put the ingredients into a bottle and shake well before using. Rub the mixture onto your chest, back and the insides of your nostrils.
GOLDEN SYRUP COUGH MIX
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon malt vinegar
Mix all ingredients together and put in a labelled bottle. Then sip 1 tablespoon of mixture every few hours to help soothe a dry and rasping cough. The mixture is not a sedative, so it can be taken frequently while you're at work or on the go.
